BBQ Nation, Mumbai

The surprisingly pleasant weather in Mumbai of late has been good to us, making it perfect for a barbecue session. And what better place than Barbecue Nation? After all, they pioneered the concept of BBQs right on your table.

The menu consists of 5 vegetarian and 5 non-vegetarian barbeque starters with unlimited helpings, and a main course buffet with plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. In addition to this, they have a live counter (ranging from pasta to pani puri) along with a variety of soups, salads and desserts.

Starting with the grill on our table, we savoured the grilled mushrooms, paneer, pineapple, corn and my personal favourite – the Cajun Spice Potatoes. The veg. buffet comprised an interesting Rass Gulle ki Sabzi, Ruangan Chaman, Vegetables in Soya Chilli Sauce, Spring Onion Noodles, Navratan Pulao, Steamed Rice, Veg. Chettinad, Methi Palak Papad, Dal Tadka and Dal Makhani; whereas the non-veg. buffet comprised Chicken Dum Biryani, Murgh Bagdadi, Nihari Gosht, Fried Fish in Oyster Chilly Sauce and Egg Curry.

By the time you get to the desserts, you are spoilt for choice and out of capacity. But you’re going to have some anyway, with options like Gulab Jamun, Rass Gulla, Jalebi and Phirnee as well as ice cream, cheesecakes, brownies and more. What makes such a hearty meal even better is the quick and courteous service, from the waiters, manager and even head chef. As part of their year-end celebrations, they have loads of corporate and student offers, which you ought to check out!
