The drinks were poured, tables were laid, smartly dressed audience were seated and the stage was set. On 7th May 2017, there was an event organised by Algebra, where conversations and ideas infuse, with prominent personalities talking about their lives and what inspired them. It also happened to be the launch of Pepsi Black, a canned zero-calorie carbonated beverage priced at Rs25, the newest member to join the Pepsi bandwagon. The focus of this new product is to focus on health and nutrition, as it has a reduced sugar content as compared to its other similar counterparts.
Before the feisty women, famous folk artist Shubha Mudgal and columnist and novelist Shobha De took the stage , everybody were given Pepsi Black cans which were available in the cooler right near the entrance. The smart and chic black cans, were easy to hold. The flavour was good, did not taste too artificial, and it was guilt free consumption as the calories are very low and no added sugar. It is a great alternative for people looking to consume aerated beverages which are healthy. Pepsi has not compromised on the taste at all, which is a fantastic thing to live up to, as we would not want our beloved Pepsi to taste different suddenly!
With Mudgal’s banter, and De’s swagger, the evening was beautiful with Pepsi black cans to consume. Mudgal was in her element and spoke about her childhood, her Guru, her passion for singing and threw in some ragas here and there making the audience clap furiously. De was at her wittiest best. She changed my perception of her by conversing clearly and to the point.
Along with Pepsi black for company, there were also drinks available at the bar, and dinner was laid out behind the ballroom. In dinner there were priced items like Thai curry, Galouti Kebabs, it all looked too tempting to resist, so we gave in. Having eaten to our hearts content and drank too to our health’s content, we came back feeling good and inspired. Thank you Pepsi Black!
