Prego @ The Westin Gurgaon

The Westin Hotel has been one of the best places to wine and dine in Gurgaon, situated at the center of the hip and happening Gurugram. The Westin has much to offer, from classic cocktails at the Story to simple yet mouth watering Italian food at the Prego The Westin has something for everyone and every taste. While there are multiple places to dine in this beautiful property, Prego the Italian restaurant simply stands out.

We got an opportunity to step in to see what makes the place so special. The answer was “Simplicity in everything” the restaurant is a beautiful glass walled work of art in the open area of the hotel, offering a beautiful view from inside the restaurant. Elegantly furnished the furniture gives it a classic look, which goes well with the semi open kitchen, a beautiful live counter and a bar.

While the ambience is indeed a work of art, what makes you go back to the place is the beautiful food crafted by the renowned Chef Salvatore Salis from Italy. Chef Salis has recently joined Westin to lead the culinary team at Prego making it one of the finest Italian restaurants in town. He brings his expertise and the origin to drive the authenticity of the Italian cuisine to the table.

The hotel had recently organised a master class for some food enthusiasts where Chef showed what makes him stand apart from the rest. The master class had some awesome dishes and gave us the opportunity to learn some wonderful tricks of the trade. The chef also shared some of his recipes with the  aspiring cooks who got the chance to spend some time with the master.

Prego is indeed one of the restaurants that one must visit to experience authentic Italian food and hospitality of one of the top hotels in town.
