Product Review: Soulflower Sweet Rose Soap

I vouch for aroma therapy. I love new fragrances and I believe something that smells nice will always uplift your mood and cheer you up when you’re feeling low.

Everytime I am at Shopper’s Stop I stop by the at Soulflower section because that part always smells magaical. I recently picked up “Soulflower’s Sweet Rose Soap” at the market and took it with me on my holiday to Koh Samui. After a long swim at the beach I got the soap out of my bag and used it.

I am not really fond of the synthetic rose smell that is used by most rose fragranced products available in the market. This is very mild and natural which is why I was quite pleased with it. This rose soap is both stimulating and cleansing and can be used for dry, mature, rough or irritated skin.

The soap contains Rosehip essential oil, crushed rose petals, glycerin, Vitamin E, rose water, olive, coconut, castor, palm & palm kernel oil and I feel it is perfect for soothing nerves and can be used as an antidepressant or mood-uplifter.

Priced at Rs. 200 for 150 gm it isn’t very expensive either for a handmade natural soap. Most handmade soaps in the market are much more pricy.

I was also amused to learn that this can be used on scars, including acne scars & old scars, dry eczema, skin burns, including sunburn. This soap is meant to rehydrate dry skin, repair damaged skin cells of all sorts and reduce wrinkles on the body and face.

The best part is that it isn’t one of those soaps that will melt quickly. You can use a 150 gms soap for at least 30 days. I like that the soap doesn’t have anything artificial in it. It is completely organic. Koh Samui’s water is very nice but a dip in the pool and all the chlorine will make your skin dry but after using this soap my skin felt very hydrated. The soap is 100% vegan and because I have very sensitive skin I can say with confidence that I approve this soap.

My only concern with the soap is that the smell fades away very quickly. However, the smell does calm you as you’re bathing so it’s fine!
