Restaurant Review: The Lodhi, New Delhi

The Lodhi completely lives by its name depicting class, creativity and calmness. I went to the waterfront restaurant at The Lodhi, one of the finest in Delhi and was completely mesmerised by its interiors. There was a beautiful artistic chandelier which would look absolutely stunning when the lights are on.

Well, The Restaurant staff gave me a warm welcome when I reached and made me sit at this big round table. I settled myself on the sofa when chef came to ask about drinks. Looking at my confusion on selection, he offered to try the chef’s special mocktail, which was completely rocking.

Few minutes passed and what came next was beyond imagination. The unstoppable variety of dim sums that the chef had to offer was starking.

Beginning with Prawns, to sliced chicken and black bean sauce, steam fish in lemon chilli sauce, wasabi prawns, chicken pok choy, pork chumai and what not.

Then came the Red thai curry filled bau which were so soft and mildly sweet that they completely melted in my mouth. There was no dearth of variety in even in vegetarian, beginning from tofu and artichoke to exotic mushroom dimsums.

After this came a deliciously cooked Ramen noodle soup with authentic flavours which made an amazing meal. I completely loved the dimsum feast at The Lodhi and would totally recommend it.

‘Dimsums and then some’ @The Lodhi is a must try for all. Chef Vijay is a star!
