With a majority of people suffering from Diabetes eating out is no longer an option. Eating desserts is totally out of the question. With more and more people becoming conscious about their calorie intake and what goes into their bodies, many restaurant chains have tied up Britannia to have a special curated menu to cater to ever changing demands of their customer.
We sampled a few of the many restaurants that have tied up with #NutriChoiceEssentials The Diabetic Food Trail – the special 100% sugar free desserts.
We began the Healthy Dessert Trail at Berco’s. The first sample was of Sugar Free Lime Cheesecake and the Sugar Free Caramel Custard.
Next we headed over to Getafix, where we tasted some really sublime Sugar Free Lime Pie
and the Sugar Free Carrot Cake.
The third stop was Bohemia at Kalkaji where we had the best Sugar Free Tiramisu
and Sugar Free Chocolate Fudge with Vanilla Yogurt Ice cream.
Last but not the least was G’s Patisserie. Here we tried some amazing and innovative desserts – Sugar Free Warm Apple & Cinnamon Cobbler, Sugar Free Chocolate Zucchini Cake and Sugar Free Banana Oats Bar with NutriChoice Essential Oats Cookies.
We were also treated to a live demo of how to make your very own NutriChoice Essentials Oats Cookies:
It was a wonderful experience and most importantly a sugar free one. It is commendable that Seema & Manoj Pinto, Founders of The Diabetic Food Trail had taken it upon themselves to ensure that a diabetic person should not miss out any fun and that even they are required to be catered to by the restaurants.
