Preview Launch of Auro – Kitchen & Bar, HKV, Delhi


Hauz Khas just got better with the addition of another feather in its cap called ‘AURO KITCHEN & BAR’. Another reason for you to flock to this side of town.

With a separate entrance specially for this property, this place is a promising hot spot for the coming months. With a huge open space, surrounded with green plants. There are very good quality wooden seating chairs and table of varying sizes and heights.

With a separate Bamboo Bar for the outside, there is also small ‘Sheesha Bar’ to cater to people with an affinity for Hookah.

The interiors have a different story to tell. The ambience inside is minimal, raw, classy and vintage. Although I wished there was more light, the yellow light throughout the property gives it a glowing warmth.

There is a spectacular interior bar, which we were lucky to witness in action. We were treated to an array of cocktails with different bases like Gin, Whisky, Bourbon and Vodka etc

AURO KITCHEN & BAR – has a delicious fusion food menu. From Salads, Flat Breads, Starters to Main course and Desserts. This 5 course meal leaves no stone unturned to impress not only your taste but your mind too. With such amazing, healthy and unique combinations, this place caters to both vegetarians and non vegetarians.

We began our meal with Non Vegetarian Starters:
Prawn Chops: Potato balls stuffed with chopped prawns served with maharashtrian thecha


Gunpowder Chicken Popcorn: Chicken popcorn in a gunpowder spice mix.unadjustednonraw_thumb_10cc

Vindaloo Ribs: Succulent melt in your mouth spare ribs with a vindaloo masala served with a pineapple kachumber salad unadjustednonraw_thumb_10da

Tingmo Hotdog: Tibetan style mutton gyuma sausage served in a tingmo bun roll.


The Vegetarian starters were:
Raw Banana Chaat: A sweet, spicy and sour raw banana and beetroot fritter chaat.

Tandoori Mushroom Mix: Tandoori shiitake and button mushroom with broccoli topped with tiger cheese and parmesan crispsunadjustednonraw_thumb_10ed

Char Grilled Baby Potatoes: Spicy Char grilled baby jacket potatoes with molten gruyere cheeseunadjustednonraw_thumb_10eb
The main course had many options like Cafreal roast chicken: Roast chicken with spicy coriander and green chillies served with pao, paprika potato wedges and toddy vinegar kachumber salad.

In vegetarian, Lentil And Vegetable Curry: A traditional dhansak style curry served with caramel rice or milk parantha, salli and vegetable kebab.


We went with the Chef Vaibhav‘s recommendation for our main course – Auro ka Halim and this signature dish is what floored us completely. This dish is simply worth the wait and is 100% recommended – A must try for meat lovers. These images do not do justice to what we ate, a true gastronomic delight.

Last but not the least, desserts. From a choice of Bibenca with coconut ice cream and Char grilled Gulabjamun with rose mascarpone we chose the latter. These fusion desserts are simply out of the world.

On that sweet note, its best to conclude that AURO KITCHEN AND BAR is a delightful place, with the winter beginning in a few days. This is place is best for large groups and a couple as well. Amazing menu to chose from in both food and drinks.
