Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been banned in India too thanks to the exploding batteries. The ministry of civil aviation has issued a public notice on 9th of September, 2016 advising the airlines, passengers, etc. to switch on or charge the mobile during flights.

DGCA also said that a lot of phones have been recalled because of this concern which is why they can’t allow any risk on flights. The order said, “in the light of recent incidents involving battery issue with Samsung about its Galaxy Note 7 devices globally, travelling public and airlines are advised to ensure these safety measures.”
