Product Review: Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Face Spa Sheet Mask

I popped into the Daily Gourmet Store, JBR, Dubai and guess what? They stock Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Face Spa Sheet Mask. It had been hanging there right in front of my eyes, very close to the checkout counter and I was compelled to give it a try.

I’m going to have to admit that I’ve never really used a sheet mask before and I was quite interested in giving this a try.

I have seen Montagne Jeunesse products before and priced at approximately 22 AED this wasn’t exactly a very cheap one time use mask. At FAB India you can get a jar of Charcoal for under 300 rupees but this mask is made in England (Swansea) and I was quite curious to try it. Why? Well, for all the years that I lived in England I had the best skin. I have tried loads of British products and 80% of the time I haven’t been disappointed.

If you don’t know what a sheet mask is let me tell you they are an Asian invention, if you ever get a chance to shop in Korea, Japan, etc. you will find loads of such amazing masks.

Does it fit the average face?

The paper like material is shaped to fit your face and is soaked in the liquid that will will your skin feel rejuvenated and refreshed. The liquid smells great. It is supposed to hydrate and nourishing your skin. It relaxes and loads of masks also prevent acne. The material stays wet for a really long time and I fell asleep with it on my face because I wanted it to dry out completely. The instructions wanted me to get rid of it in 5 minutes but it felt so fresh that I kept it for a while.

The Result: My skin felt fresh, hydrated, plump and was glowing. The change wasn’t remarkable but it did make my skin feel all spruced up. The redness hadn’t faded though. Maybe, I’ll try the acne mask to see if that helps with the redness.
