As you all must know Harsha Bhogle has been on a forced commentary exile (he did not commentate during the IPL) at the behest of our cricket board, BCCI.
Jogging our memory back to the T20 World Cup, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has tweeted that a “certain” commentator was talking more about the opposition than India. Things heated up when MS Dhoni supported this line of thinking and now if reports are to be believed, Harsha will not be commentating on the upcoming WI T20I taking place in the USA as well as the New Zealand series. Mumbai Mirror further reports that some of his tweets during the Ind – SA series last year were also not liked by Virat Kohli and BCCI took this decision after taking the player’s views on this.
The million dollar question is – Why is the BCCI listening to players about commentators?
