Sunday brunch is a concept food lovers thoroughly enjoy – the variety and the freedom to eat how much you want – what else can be better on a day that is meant to be for enjoyment. Sundays are fun and Sunday brunch are icing on the cake. A refreshing bite of the freshest ingredients from a menu that is locally focused and globally artistic, or a sip of some of the finest wines, is the best way to ring in a Sunday brunch at PLUCK, the modern day eatery and PLING, the vibrant lux-lounge at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity.
During my first visit to Pullman (read it here), I had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at Pluck – the farm to table concept just clicked and the freshness of the ingredients kept me wanting more. It is only when you taste something so fresh, when you realize what you are missing. A page of text won’t have you believe me, it’s best enjoyed live -head on!
The same goodness is carried for the brunch as well, with the menu ranging from farm-to-table salad bar, a modern European, Asian and India buffet that includes dishes like Baby Lamb Curry with Mint Dust & Kashmir Valley, Red Wine Braised Lamb Shanks with Mini Ratatouille and Garlic Jus, Seared Tiger Prawn with Leeks Compote and White Wine Sauce, Shrimp Tempura with Cured Mango &Tobanjan Aioli Sushi. Hot Nibbles on Wheels feature Tandoor Fired Prawns with Ajwain Tadka, Curry Leaf and Mustard Paneer Tikka. There’s an Antipasti Bar, Bread and cheese station, Arabic Mezze, Carving stations – Duck, Lamb and Chicken.
If that is not enough, there are items from the Tapastry (read details here) with picks like Braised Pork Belly with Cabbage Puree, Pickled Radish & Spiced Jus, Gambas with Chilli and Garlic, Chorizo with Rocket and Parmesan, Fruit Terrine withWhipped Cream, Pomegranate Seeds, Arancini, Spicy Marinara.
Take a break in-between courses as the chef walks you through the in-house farm; or enjoy the live band. There is also an Art gallery in Pling featuring a new upcoming artist every Sunday – Rohit Sharma on May 8 & Uma Bardhan on May 15 for the coming Sundays. There is a kids’ zone to keep the toddlers busy while you engross into the drinks and food. Oh wait, did I talk about the drinks?
Get an experience to be on the other side – pick a few bar-tending tricks from the bartenders with a cocktail culture showcase or sip on farm-to-sip Herb Artisan Cocktails. With the free flow of champagne, house wines and draught beers, Sangria, summer spritzers & tandoori grilled cocktails – it is going to be a matter of choice about what to have and what not to! Don’t be disappointed yet if you want to leave the alcohol aside, for teetotalers there are a bevy of beverages and Tea Deli by Pullman.
