Straight from the cosmopolitan lanes of entertainment and financial capital of India, ‘Mumbai’, comes this place and for past several years serving the foodies of Delhi and NCR something truly innovative and delectable in its nature.
Ambience Mall has some very rare gems to its credit and this is certainly one of those, ‘Indigo Deli’, located at the food court floor, and amongst many exclusive restaurants is this very extraordinary restaurant that has a classy interior as well as presentation.
While entering the restaurant one can see the eclectic craftsmanship and amazing decor, as the interior is most assertive while claiming its beauty in this restaurant. As and when one steps inside, a wooden crafted and lifted caricature which is meant for sitting accommodation and given a very peculiar texture while stating it a very classy finish to the entirety.
While having round tables and simple furniture and seating facility and also some very exquisite paintings and wall hangings this place offers then what meets the eye. In one corner there is the counter for desserts rather to say the patisserie section and on the other corner we have the kitchen which almost cooks live. The owner has been extremely resplendent while designing the concept of this venue.
As we sat down and the chef “the innovator” is what I call them, came and exemplified the complete routine, I just sat their with my co-bloggers enjoying the view and its simplicity with the aroma which made the aura of the room so enticing that it was hard to resist it.
The chef 1st offered us in-house made breads which are usually served in the starting but often purchased from outside, but this is what chef told me, that they made all these inside the kitchen while using curd as the effective ingredient and the result was unbelievably awesome. So soft and so perfect. It was served with aubergine sauce and bell pepper salsa sauce and also garlic butter.
Then eventually came the refreshers and the cold soups, yes precisely, ‘cold soups’, musk melon flavor, carrot flavor and green veggie flavor but fused with different ingredients and served chilled with aberrant presentation which I was taken aback merely looking at it.
Then gradually I was interested in the coming of The Half-n-Half Pizza, which I must admit is one of the most divine things I saw that day, also enjoyed the mesmerizing Veg. platter, which had Paneer Tikka Skewers, Cottage cheese croquettes and chickpea fritters with aubergine veggie mix. Then how can I forget to mention the Mumbai Munchies, which are the very famous chilly sandwiches famous amongst the commercial culture in Mumbai and also a street food.
The main course had very bland and yet nice dishes to gorge on which were, White spaghetti Pasta which was again in-house made as they have a pasta making machine and which was cooked so healthy as it never felt heavy after having the entire bowl, also a grilled cheese sandwich and Linguini which was really good to taste and even better to watch as it was so beautiful to look.
Finally after having such tempting dishes it was time to have the most important part of the meal, for me at least it is, the dessert part. The platter was ordered which was actually assembled by the chef himself, which had Chocolate Brownie which chocolate flakes, Cheese cake vs. chocolate cake, which was one of the desserts, Plum pudding with vanilla ice cream, Creme Bruelle, Lemon tart with meringue topping and finally lemon ice slush. The entire platter was so impeccable to look that it resisted to break the canvas for me but I had to commit the sin so I did. And it them took over me, as I was hypnotized by every bite that I took from the platter as every sweet/dessert was so ineffable.
I just did not enjoyed it but lived an innovative dream that the chef had dreamt for us, an inception of delicacies, a trance of extreme divine that is based on true taste and presentation. This place is most affirmatively the most promising venue in Ambience Mall on certain context. Loved it.
