The Taste of “Royalty” with “Royalty”.
Augustness of the Nobles can be explored by the way they had their food and since the time of Mughals till today, the Royals have their own robust and profound way of portraying this very trait.
The Princess of Pratapgarh, Smt. Alka Rani Singh herself organized and commemorated a Royal Awadhi Lunch at this magnificent venue at ‘Dilli 32’, and everything about this grand place is amazing and marvelous.
It completely justifies the tag of being a 5 star Hotel and a competitive class amongst the finest in Delhi NCR. The venue is located on the 3rd floor where the restaurant section us situated and clearly the infra and design is eclectic from variance of lavishness and splendid lush.
After reaching the venue and grabbing the seats the executive chef and the co-chef introduced themselves and the Princess made a lovely introductory prologue of the entire event.
The food was completely Awadhi and so was the taste, every dish was tickled with some innovation by the chefs and had a very eccentric yet brilliant outcome.
Starters were the chaat katori which itself is explanatory and my favorite cam the dodhia kebab which was paneer kebabs with potato and mango mix stuffed between and also kathal kebabs also one of the finest starters ever.
Eventually the main course begun, very soon it was clear that the section or the cuisine is non veg dominated yet the chef managed to woo the vegans also by putting up something in equal importance and that was commendable.
Being a vegetarian, paneer dish and a concoction of palak and mushroom and then 3 types of breads was a real deal for the vegans like me. Gradually the desserts came and I was desperate to get some of the very famous benchmark dessert they serve called the Mirch ka Halwa which is a sweet made from bell peppers, exactly a very esoteric dish and name, yet it exist and the chef is the creator of it, I was awestruck after tasting the first bite, unbelievably stunning. It was the best part as per me in the entire meal, although everything was also good but the desserts were excellent.
4/5 will be my rating of this event, royalty with food and class, a sophisticated afternoon with perfection.
XOXO
