The new kid on the block….
Hear, Hear Mumbaities there’s a new Barroom in Town, a treat for all those people who want to unwind after a long day of hard work.
This Sports Bar is situated at R-city Mall at Ghatkopar. Primetime invited our team for a review and hence I decided to give it a try. When I heard about this place I thought, “Okay another regular bar inside a mall! What else is new!”. This is a common concept these days, but boy was I surprised.
First, when you enter there’s a huge arena for bowling and then going forward is a huge spacious gaming zone. So many activities and games, it’s like a playground for adults. It reminded me of the Sports Bar at High Street Phoenix which unfortunately closed down but now this place is even better and mind you bigger. I don’t even miss that place anymore. The place is made keeping in mind working professionals who need a break from their tedious jobs. It even has a small room for conducting corporate parties.
The USP of this place is that it offers those activities, which one will find it difficult to find anywhere else in Mumbai.
Coming to my visit, I had gone with a friend of mine. When we reached the place Ms. Disha was waiting for us. She was the hostess for the evening. She gave us a tour of the entire place and even gave told us interesting details about every game. “I’m surely gonna try them!” – is what I said to her. She was really well acquainted with the entire place and talked about it very passionately.
After the tour by Ms. Disha, Mr. Vikarm began to show us around. We played a lot of interesting games like Laser Tag, etc. – it was a marvelous experience.
We completely forgot about food and got engrossed in playing all kinds of games. Archery was next and it was conducted under a qualified archer’s supervision. We also tried other games like Cannon Ball, Nail it, Speed of Light, Bowling, and loads more. It was really fun experience.
Now lets come to the part that attracts the crowd, the bar – it’s called the” Wembley”. The place has a resplendent feel to it, its not cramped and has long as well as short tables. The menu covers everything be it Indian, American, Italian, Chinese etc. The prices are decent and the quantity is substantial.
Coming to my order, we were offered:
Soufiya Panner Tikka: Soft, mouth melting fresh malai cottage cheese cubes, full of flavours. Really amazing, very well seasoned.
Chicken Tikka: The only disappointing dish for the evening, it wasn’t cooked well and definitely lacked proper marination.
Chicken Phadi Kebab: After the failure of the Chicken Tikka, this surely made up for it. Fresh, minty, juicy, salivating, this was the star for me. It was cooked perfectly and was simply orgasmic.
For drinks we had two Mocktails:
Spice Girl: This was different and really refreshing. after slurping one gets a taste of spice. A must have for people who like experimenting with new things.
Fruit Punch: This too was not like an ordinary Fruit Punch, it had a very distinct taste – recommended.
Service was top-notch, friendly and well informed. Staff members were very knowledgeable.
Overall, this place is surely the place to be at in Mumbai and it will soon be buzzing with loads of youngsters. Give it a try!
