Ambience – Just two words – vastness & opulence. With the huge area, lovely bar and plush seating, you are never going to feel space shortage.
Service – The service is great. We were given ample time in the beginning to make ourselves comfortable and settle in. Once we were done, the service became impeccable. There was water in glasses all the time. The servers know the food and we were given suggestions and details of everything we thought of ordering.
Food – A four course menu – starting with small eats followed by soups, the mains and dessert is extremely plateful.
The Chicken Char Sui Cheung Fun is an interesting thing of the dim sum family. Appropriately seasoned chicken cubes rolled into thin rice noodle – topped with seasoned soy sauce giving it a sweet tinge, is actually a light eat, light on the appetite but high on the taste.
The Prawn and Seaweed dumpling is again a delight. The prawn and seaweed both make themselves prominent flavor wise and goes very well with the Chilli oil served alongside.
The Shredded lamb and Celery soup is average and I have had better ones.
For the mains – Crispy Lamb with Raw Mango is a must try. The lamb is perfect in texture and the balance of the dish is great, where the honey and raw mango balance each other well.
Spicy Mahlak Chicken with Sesame Oil and Mushrooms is again great, though people not used to Sesame might not like it, since Sesame is a developed taste.
We paired these with Fried Rice with Sweetcorn and Asparagus and we just loved the combination. The fried rice is one the best I have ever had and the combination just did wonders.
For dessert we chose Religieuse & Mango Mascarpone Gateaux. Religieuse was ordered of curiosity since this was the first time we were having it. It turned out to be quite good.
Both the pastries were soft, the filling was very tasteful and the Yauatcha embedded chocolate on top was as interesting as it was tasteful. The Mango Mascarpone Gateaux was sheer bliss. Being a mango lover – this combined the flavors of Mango & mascarpone in the right proportions.
Served alongside was a litchi ice cream, which undoubtedly was the best I have ever had.
Must try – Prawn and Seaweed dumpling, Fried Rice with sweetcorn and Asparagus. Mango Mascarpone Gateaux.
