Dining at Indigo was a very special experience. I love spending time with my family. My mom, my sister, my father, my extremely hilarious bro-in-law and my adorable niece.
On a very bright and pleasant winter afternoon we decided to go to someplace special for brunch. We learnt that Indigo Deli at Level 3 in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj has just started rooftop brunches and we sure were eager to give the food a try.
I love brunches, I love the food, the wine and the warmth. It is hard to find warmth when it is this cold. Anyhoo, covered in several layers of clothing we bravely climbed up the stairs to give Indigo’s brunch a try.
The terrace is beautiful, it can accommodate more than 20 people and looked like a wonderful place to have a gathering or a birthday.
There were 7 of us and we were really hungry. We were spoilt for choice – Rosemary Mornay Chicken Drumsticks, Three Cheese Lamb Kebabs, Sundried Tomato Chicken Tikka, Grilled Cottage Cheese and Vegetable Skewers, Gun Powder Baby Potatoes, we tried everything. To drink we had chilled Sangria pitchers – inspired.
My favourite main course dish was the Pumpkin Risotto that the Chef custom made for us, I licked clean every last inch of my plate (well, not really ‘coz that would be super icky, just in my head). The beautifully risen Pumpkin Soufflé was another marvel. It wasn’t just pretty looking, it tasted divine too.
We tried a bunch of homemade ice creams and thanked the Chef a thousand times for being so good at his job. The only thing I didn’t like very much was the fact that there were flies on the terrace but I guess there isn’t too much you can do about that in India.
