Recipe: Organic Pink Guava Preserve/Jam

Ingredients

Guavas, peeled, deseeded – 6 nos.

Water – 600 ml

Sugar – 2 cups

Lime  – 1

Directions

Place the guavas in a large pot and fill with enough water to cover, about 2 cups.

Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat for about 30 minutes.

Use a masher to turn into pulp.

Once the consistency is smooth add the juice of one lime, cook for a few minutes and remove from heat.

Sterilise jars, add the preserve to your jars.

This can be used for around 3 months if the jars have been sterilised properly.
