Radisson Blu Plaza, Delhi & Thailand Tourism celebrate the Loi Krathong festival

Radisson Blu Plaza, Delhi celebrated the “Loi Krathong” festival in a grand manner and to bring on the festivities, the hotel and Thailand Tourism jointly organized a celebratory evening to mark Loi Krathong – Thailand’s festival of lights.

Loi Krathong literally means ‘floating baskets’. This festival falls on the full moon of the twelfth month of the lunar calendar. Lit candles and joss sticks are placed on lotus shaped baskets made from banana leaves and its trunk. People make a wish and float them in water.

Gracing the occasion with his presence was honourable chief guest, his excellency Chalit Manityakul. Everyone relished Thai delicacies from a special festive menu at Neung Roi.

To take forward the celebratory mood, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi is celebrating Loi Krathong Food Festival @ Neung Roi, its Thai speciality restaurant by featuring a specially designed menu.

You will experience the most magical ambience as the hotel celebrates this festival of lights. You can savour Thai delicacies from a special festive a la carte menu at Neung Roi.

The elaborately designed exotic spread includes appetisers, salads, soups, main course, rice and noodles and desserts. To mention a few, Pla Muck Thod Katiem (deep-fried squid with garlic & pepper sauce), Peek Gai Thod (deep fried chicken winglets with sweet, sour & salty sauce), Porpia Sod (‘Phuket Style’ fresh vegetable spring roll), Tod Man Khao Pod (crispy corn fritters with sweet chilli sauce); Yam Woonsen Goong (glass noodle salad with prawns), Yam Mamuang (raw mango salad with cashew nuts); Gaeng Juet Tohu Oon Tuea Hrong (soft tofu soup with bean sprouts & garlic oil), Tom Yum Pak (spicy & sour vegetable soup with lemongrass & kaffir lime); Goong Mangkorn Prow (grilled lobster with tamarind, chilli & lime sauce) Pla Jaramed Neung Khing (steamed pomfret with shitake, spring onion & ginger sauce), Phad Pak Kana (kale with light soya sauce, garlic & chilli), Gaeng Kiew Wan Pak (mixed vegetables in thai green curry).

For the sweet tooth, relish the Mor Gaeng Tuea (an old time famous dessert: a golden brown Thai yellow bean custard), Khao Niew Mamuang (sticky rice with fresh mango & coconut cream), Kanom Chan (layered classical Thai dessert ), Kanom Med Kanoon (moong bean dessert, egg yolk coated & poached in sugar syrup) and more.

The culinary experience was truly extraordinary!!
