Being a food reviewer is tough work. I am always eating out and mostly I eat things that are not healthy for me. I did some research on cleansing and detox and learnt that cold pressed juices are really good for cleansing because in this process juice is extracted by first crushing and then pressing fruits and vegetables for the highest juice yield. In this process no heat is involved so the juice is fresher and all the nutrients of the fruit are intact.
It isn’t new to us that fruits and vegetables are good for us. I have experienced that consuming fresh-pressed juices has helped me lose weight because I feel full for longer. More importantly, cold pressed juices boost immunity, prevent cancer and cleanse your system. I do this every week and I feel more energized and fresh to start eating out again!
How does detox help?
– results in weight loss
– results in increased energy
– nourishes the colon
– helps you in sleeping better
– results in good skin and nourished hair
– decreases bloating
– reduces hunger cravings
I had been preparing juices at home as I detox once a month but recently a friend recommended JustPressed Juices that are 100% pure, natural and organic. I usually start my day with one of their juices I prefer “JustPressed Pump”– this exotic blend is a sure shot hydrator and is especially beneficial for die hard gym fanatics and workaholics. This will cleanse you inside out, while boosting immunity and fighting toxins and infections. Pump contains coconut water, pineapples, apples, aloe vera, sweet lime, mint and lemongrass. The combination is fantastic and is very mildly sweet.
Another juice that I really like is the “JustPressed Charge” – which is a silky creamy juice immersed in amazing good nutrients, this is great for instant energy while beating your hunger blues. This also helps in lowering bad cholesterol and in promoting a healthy life. This contains coconut meat, almonds, vanilla bean, honey, cashew nuts, cinnamon and chia seeds. I love the consistency and the almond bits.
“JustPressed Bounce” is really good too. It is light, refreshing and gives you a shot of good energy, essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is supposed to be loaded with carotene and is meant to wash out fat and waste and speed up your metabolism. It contains good things like carrots, oranges, apples, pineapples, lemons, turmeric and chia seeds. I had been wanting to add “chia seeds” to my diet for a very long time. Chia is a great source of healthy omega-3 fats and fibre. It helps in boosting energy, stabilising blood sugar and lowering cholesterol. It also aids digestion, which is very helpful for foodies like me.
I am travelling all the time and it really takes a toll on my energy. Researching the health benefits of spinach and lettuce I started incorporating them in my diet but it is always easier to have a juice than sit through a salad. “JustPressed Active” is perfect for me because it contains spinach, lettuce, cucumbers, lemons, collard, kale, parsley, ginger and cilantro. This blend of essential greens is infused with herbal flavors with a boost of fresh vitamins; this juice is good for the complexion, eyesight and general vitality as it is full of living enzymes.
JustPressed has other juices like “JustPressed Soak” and “JustPressed Jolt”. These juices are a great source of antioxidants and essential vitamins and are priced at Rs. 175/- each. They are much cheaper than other such cold pressed juices (RAW Pressery) available in the market, which is why I have now made them a part of my daily diet.
Give them a go!
