I can’t seem to get enough of BakeBox!

I like the idea of having a mystery BakeBox delivered to me each month. I look forward to it. The most delightful day of the whole month is when I have my BakeBox in my hands.

The BakeBox

I have been getting the BakeBox for 3 months now and when I tell people about it they are all questions. What is it? How does it work? Where does the stuff come from? How do you order it? Well, I thought I must write a post for people with all these questions and a post describing my experience over the past three months.

The goodies from the baker of the month: “The Little Yellow Box”

The first BakeBox I got was the “Valentine’s Day Bake Box”. It was red, it had wine and chocolates. All the elements for a perfect Valentine’s day. The box was segregated into breakfast, lunch and dinner goodies.

Nine Hills Wine with Glasses

Breakfast in bed consisted of Vanilla Spice Biscotti with Coffee Glaze, a Hot Chocolate Stick with which you could make delicious creamy hot chocolate in bed by just adding milk, Walnut Mocha Pound Cake Panini Sandwiched with Dulce de Leche and Granola, that would make for a complete hearty morning meal.

Breakfast was followed by Romantic Lunch, a Hazelnut Kiss Sandwich Cookie (Packaged with a note….), Nine Hills Wine with Chocolates: Cranberry Pistachio, Coffee Cinnamon, Peanut Butter Crisp, Strawberry S’mores and Mint Oreo. The wine went perfectly with the chocolates and the sandwich cookie. I had never felt happier.

Chocolates: “The Dancing Chef”

This was followed by Candle Light Dinner: Tea for Her (Rose Oolong) and Tea for Him (Ginger Root) by Tea Trunk.

The box also had Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge Cake Truffles and Lemon and White Chocolate Cake Truffles. The beautifully fragrant tea was the perfect end to my chocolaty day.

Bake Box used The Little Yellow Box, The Dancing Chef and Tea Trunk for their Valentine’s Day Bake Box. BakeBox is delivered home, for free and everything in the box is absolutely fresh. Chocolate always has an invigorating effect on me and the Bake Box has tons of fresh chocolates which made my Valentine’s Day really special.

It did not stop there, the next month’s BakeBox was even more exciting. It was Holi and the new BakeBox was full of bright colours. Patisserie Royale was the baker of the month for March and the list of goodies in the box made my eyes sparkle.

The Holi BakeBox

I loved the double shaded cupcakes with fresh frosting. The frosting was finger-licking delicious. I actually wanted to lick the cupcake paper baking cases like “Joey” from FRIENDS did.

The Rolled Sponge with Fruit Filling was my favourite. The sponge was extremely moist and the fruit filling was utterly divine. I wish they had more of those in the box ‘coz I really took my time to savour those.

The holi box also had some Cookies with colourful gems on them, Chocolate Ladoos with a bright pink flower stuck on top, multi-coloured holi Marble Cake slices, flower shaped Shortbread Cookies dipped in chocolate and my favourite red and yellow Almond Clusters.

After enjoying BakeBox’s goodies for two months in a row, I was really looking forward to month 3. I was extremely excited to find out what the new theme would be.

Easter & Organic Eggless Navratra BakeBox

The theme for this month’s BakeBox is: Easter & Navratra. I was intrigued to see how beautifully “The Dancing Chef” and BakeBox had created an outstanding amalgamation of Easter and Navratra in one. The box had eggless goodies. Everything organic.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

I stated with Chocolate Chip Muffins. They were delicious. The chocolate centre was gooey and the chocolate chips added a nice touch to the spongy muffins. I love my tea and I chose to have the Organic Banana Bread with my evening cuppa. The indulgently moist banana cake coupled with sips of my favourite Kasmiri tea (that I acquired during my recent visit to Kashmir) – pure bliss.

The box had Cookies and Cream Cake Balls that I finished in a gulp lest my partner should ask for a bite. I just did not want to share these amazing pieces of goodness.

The Easter egg and bunny shaped delicious Crunchy Strawberry S’more Chocolates were a great touch. It’s hard to keep your hands of chocolate this good.

A new addition to this month’s BakeBox were savoury items. Classic Organic Hummus with Cocktail Pita and Fresh Organic Salsa. The hummus was brilliant, it was perfect for people like my mom who hate hummus, the consistency and taste were just perfect – she loved it.

What I saved and had the next morning was Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola. I added rich full cream milk to it, no sugar. The chocolate chips were sweet enough for the milk and granola. Lovely breakfast.

BakeBox never ceases to amuse me. The contents of BakeBox stay with you even after you’ve devoured everything in that lovely big box.
You can order your’s from http://www.bakebox.in and when you do, I promise that you will wait for the following month’s BakeBox just as eagerly as I do.
